About Silverado and Sierra Third brake light: Chrome housing, Polycarbonate Smoke Lens offer superior UV protection and a high impact resistance; Lamp Type: Brake and Cargo and Reverse; For Models Originally Equipped with Cargo Lights Only (Non Cargo Light Model might Need Modification to Prevent Light Function Issue)
Plug and Play: This 3rd brake light is plug and play. We also have some customers told that their plugs were different from the factory plug so they had to be cut off and spliced. The wiring tips are as follows(colors of the truck wires and light wires do not match): Truck Red to light’s white, Truck yellow to light’s red, Truck black to light’s black and yellow (some customers may have to cut the yellow wire from the light plug and some other do not, it may depends), Truck white was not used;
Waterproof: This 3rd brake light includes 1pc rubber gasket and is generally waterproof. Please kindly put silicone on the back of it to help seal it just in case it leaks into the light or where the wires are;
Tips: 1. about the staying on problem, please cut the yellow wire from the light plug, to eliminate it from staying on; 2. some had the problem that the brake light came on when dome light went off, please also cut off the yellow wire.
