If your AC compressor on your Volkswagen Jetta, GTI, Golf, Passat, Tiguan is not working proper a faulty AC Compressor Control Solenoid Valve maybe the problem. This Control Valve is located on the front of the AC compressor and is secured to the compressor with a snap ring. Often times the factory valve fails and can easily be replaced rather than replacing the entire AC compressor.
Please insure your factory compressor control solenoid valve looks identical to the pictures above and is secured to the AC compressor with a snap ring and NOT a bolt

How to Verify Your Vehicle Has a Sanden PXE16 or PXE14 Compressor & This Fits Your Vehicle!
1. Check Label on AC Compressor
Check the label on your car’s AC compressor and make sure it is manufactured by Sanden or Denso (blue box) and is model PXE16, PXE14, or one of the factory part numbers listed above.
Example. 1K0820808C and you can see the model PXE16 shown (red boxes)
PART NUMBERS SHOULD EXACTLY BE THE SAME.
2. Check the Plug on Your Factory Solenoid
Insure the factory solenoid valve on your AC compressor has a plug directly on the solenoid as pictured above.
3. Verify Factory Valve is Secured with a Snap Ring
Verify that the factory valve is held into the AC compressor with a snap ring.
On some compressor models the valve is held in with a bolt, this valve WILL NOT FIT THESE MODELS.
